The story of African diamonds has a dark beginning. That narrative has changed drastically in South Africa (and many other diamond producing African countries). This image is symbolic of that change. The hand-under-open-hand is an African gesture of respect. As South Africans living this new narrative we can finally offer what we have to the world with pride.
